This was all complemented by a well-equipped kitchen which allowed the able chef in our party to prepare delicious meals of local porcini, pears, pecorino, olives, fresh lettuces and artichokes. She left the tartufo and veal scallopini preparations for our night’s out which proved special indeed particularly at Dennis's recommendation.

Long lunches on the outdoor terrace to the side of the property and sundowners by the pool positioned us perfectly for enjoying the warm, afternoon, spring sun and the disappearing light as it played on the lake's surface while listening to cookoos, frogs, deer and wild boar calling from the woods adjacent to the grounds. Sightseeing galore in the picturesque, medieval towns nearby.
